The story
Abidin Dino painted, drew, wrote and made films across a long life divided between İstanbul and Paris, where he settled in the 1950s. His drawings of hands are among his best known works.
He is remembered by many through his friend Nâzım Hikmet, whose poem asks "can you paint happiness, Abidin". His wife Güzin Dino was a writer and translator.
