The story

Alaçatı is part of the Çeşme area. Its nearby surf centres connect the settlement with the wind and water of the Aegean coast.

Alaçatı grew from a small farming village of stone houses and windmills into one of the most popular summer towns on the Aegean coast. Steady winds on its bay made it a windsurfing centre.
