The story
Aziz Nesin wrote more than a hundred books of short stories, plays and memoirs that poke fun at officials, petty tyrants and ordinary people caught in absurd situations. He was often prosecuted and never stopped writing.
In 1972 he founded the Nesin Foundation, which raises and educates children in need at its home near İstanbul, and he left his royalties to it.
