The story
Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu painted, wrote poetry and made mosaics, prints and fabrics, all drawing on the colours and patterns of Anatolian village life, kilims and folk art.
He taught at the fine-arts academy in İstanbul for decades and left a large mosaic at the NATO headquarters in Paris, now in Brussels. His poem Karadut is widely loved.
