The story
Bays and maritime scenery help define this coastal destination. Bodrum is also home to the museum dedicated to singer Zeki Müren.
The town stands on the site of ancient Halikarnassos, home of the historian Herodotus and of the Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Today its castle houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
