What is the difference between the Aegean and the Mediterranean coast?
The Aegean is cooler and windier, with olive groves, vineyards and stone villages, and the Greek islands often in sight. The Mediterranean, the stretch people call the Turquoise coast, is warmer and steeper, where pine-covered mountains drop straight into the sea.
When is the season?
Roughly May to October. July and August are the hottest and the busiest; September keeps the warm sea and loses most of the crowd, which is why it is the month people who live there take off.
Do I need Turkish in a beach town?
