The story
UNESCO lists the property as Ephesus. Its archaeological remains record different stages of settlement and cultural life; the property was inscribed in 2015.
Ephesus was one of the great cities of the ancient world, a port and a centre of trade and worship. The Library of Celsus, the great theatre and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders, all belong to its story.
