The story
Kemal Sunal played the naive, good-hearted Şaban in dozens of comedies, beginning with the Hababam Sınıfı school films of the 1970s. His films are repeated on television so often that his lines have entered everyday speech.
Behind the fool was a sharp social observer: many of his roles poke fun at bosses, bureaucrats and the rich.
