The story
Koru, listed on Vikipedi as Koruköy, is a neighbourhood of Milas about 10 km from the town. It has carried the same name since 1911. It was first a quarter of the village of Tekfuranbarı, today's Ekinanbarı, became a village in its own right on 22 December 1952, and turned back into a neighbourhood after the 2012 local government law.
In the 1950s the gravel road from Milas to Bodrum passed Koru's cemetery into the village and went on to Ekinanbarı. The buses from Milas to the airport and to Güllük still run through Koru.
