The story
Sezen Aksu has written and sung hundreds of songs since the 1970s and shaped the sound of Turkish pop for two generations. Her nickname, Minik Serçe, "the Little Sparrow", comes from an early song and film.
She discovered and wrote for many later stars, including Tarkan, and her lyrics are quoted like poetry.
